I feel like recently, even over summer I’ve abandoned my love for books. I just haven’t had the same motivation as I usually do to pick one up and read, it’s not that I haven’t got time, I just haven’t found myself reading.
I’ve been speaking to a friend Poppy, shoutout to you if you’re reading this. We decided to do a book swap and she is also a book lover and she’s really motivated me to start reading again!
(Link to her blog here) – go read it, it’s fab.
Instead of buying a new book and reading it, I went back to my bookshelf and picked up a few books that I haven’t read but should.
My goal for the next few weeks is to read these three books.
To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee – You may be surprised to hear that I haven’t read this classic but I’m very much looking forward to it.
The News written by Alain De Botton – I bought this when I started my journalism course but it’s one of those books that have been slightly neglected but I’m excited to read.
The final book is I am Malala written by Malala Yousafzai. Which is the story of Malala which I know well but I’d like to read it to get a better picture of it.
I’m hoping to collect all my books together to write a book shelf tour, which for anyone who knows will be very difficult considering my book collection is continuing to grow but my goal is to read all the unread books.
Hope you enjoyed this post.
