Why You Should Vote

If you didn’t realise, Theresa May called a snap election. The previous election took place in 2015 and the next one wasn’t due to happen until 2020.

Our country is in a state of uncertainty, especially with Brexit negotiations, our economy and living standards are falling and well it all seems a bit of a mess really…

15.9 million of you didn’t vote in the last general elections but quite frankly if you don’t take the time to vote, you cannot complain about the outcome of government decisions and choices made within parliament.

I’m not writing this post to put my views onto others because I believe everyone should make their own informed opinion but you definitely should vote.

I’ve seen many social media posts recently of individuals not taking the vote seriously and understanding that we didn’t always have the right to vote and people suffered in order to give us this right.

If you are unsure about who to vote for there are plenty of quizzes to see who you may side with but take a look at the party websites and make sure you are sure before you decide.

And if you aren’t planning on voting this year, you should. It could be your vote which makes the difference to the way the country is run and our future.
