My eyebrows were in need of some serious loving. If I’m honest I’ve never really bothered with them much.
I picked up KA-brow from my local benefit counter. I’d read some reviews and was really interested in trying it.
I think this is a great dupe for the Anastasia dip brow, it has a gel like consistency.
KA-brow allows you to add definition and colour to your brows. I feel like I can sculpt them and make them really defined.
It was £18.50 which is quite high end for such a small product. However you don’t need a lot of it. A little goes a long way with this product and I feel it’s definitely worth the spend.
It’s handy that the lid also can be used as a brush. It saves buying two separate products, the brush is also quite high quality and it’s easy to use.
What I also like is the fact that it’s waterproof. You don’t have to worry about losing your eyebrows in the rain.
I hope you enjoyed this short review.
Scrolling through Instagram is a vicious cycle. Not only is it time consuming, people display their picture perfect lives and unrealistic expectations of body image and appearance.
Thoughts such as ‘why don’t I look like that’ and ‘I wish I could be her.’ They aren’t healthy thoughts however they run through the minds of many of us.
It’s known as ‘Instagram envy’. I normally scroll in my PJs in my bed in the evening. It definitely sparks feelings of inadequacy, especially if you are looking at the prettiest girl seemingly with her life together, when you are left wondering if you have a frozen pizza in the oven.
I can’t be the only person that feels this, surely?
The morning is the worst. Theres always that one person that posts their 6:00am morning run, their green smoothies and their perfect bodies. (Green smoothies do not taste that nice, I’m sorry).
I’ve recently taken a different approach to Instagram, to try and filter out the toxicity and jealously that builds up in me.
I only follow people I like, or those who inspire me. Sorry fitness101, you are GONE. I do not need to see that sh*t on my timeline every day.
Limiting the time I spend on the app. I don’t need to check it nearly as much as I do.
It’s not all about likes. I only got 5 likes on my selfie? Yeaaaah thank you to the 5 friends I have making me feel fabulous.
Recognising the platform as a way to make memories. I love looking back on my own Instagram posts sometimes; it’s nice to see old memories.
What do you think of this issue? Please feel free to comment. I hope you enjoyed this post!
This is a new thing I wanted to start writing. Maybe not every Sunday but every now and then to reflect on the week and whats been going on. It’s got very cold since the clocks went back so I’ve been wrapping up warm and my feet permanently feel like ice.
I went home for reading week over this past week, as well as getting lots of studying done I’ve managed to do a lot of fun things too!
Halloween was good. Spent the evening watching Hotel Translyvania on Netflix and carving a pumpkin.
I did a significant amount of baking over the week. I’ve only recently started to bake properly but I really enjoy it. My boyfriend and I decided to try out a Great British Bake Off technical challenge. Jaffa cakes. They didn’t turn out too bad actually, they were gluten free and tasted great. I also made a birthday cake. It took a while but I was really pleased how it turned out in the end.
We went for a lovely meal with Elliot’s family for his birthday too. I went home and managed to see my family too. I got to visit my little cousin and my aunt as well as see my mum and brother. My cat wasn’t too happy to see me.
Fireworksssss! I love going to watch the fireworks, it’s one of my favourite things to do.
That’s the end of my week. Travelling back up to uni tomorrow, back to normal routine working and lectures!
Hope you enjoyed this sunday summary.
